Almost like the old fashioned beds with the coils in them where they're bouncy when you jump on them. my kids had a blast jumping on them when we first pulled them out of the bags. They were brought in vacuum sealed. I think it was way worth the money. They're pretty sturdy and when you lay on it it feels comfy. It's not too heavy for the twin to manage myself as a 5'4 female. We bought two to replace our kids' mattresses before we move into our new home.
