This is hands-down the best budget mattress. I recently purchased 10 budget mattresses for a vacation home. The brands include Amazon basic, Ashley signature design, Zinus green tea, vibe gel, and Allswell. Hands-down Amazon basic was the best mattress. Allswell is a very comfortable mattress but it is twice the price is the Amazon basic. If I had to do it all over again I would buy all Amazon basic mattresses for my whole house. What I like about Amazon basic mattress. First let me say I don’t know anything about mattresses- the density foam or any of that stuff, but I I know what a good night sleep feels like on a nice mattress. The Amazon basic is soft, but not too soft. It Is a medium firmness mattress. It’s not a pillow top but it feels like tmakers put a soft layer on top and it gives you a good night sleep. That top layer on the Amazon basic is the main difference between the green tea, vibe gel, and Ashley mattresses. Those are firm and you do not sink into them like you do with the Amazon basic. My son sleeps on the green tea mattress and he hates it; he says that you can only fall asleep on that mattress when you’re dead tired. When Amazon has their prime day I am buying him the Amazon basic mattress. My sister-in-law stayed in the room with the vibe gel and I asked her how her sleep was and she said I’m still breaking in the mattress. In other words that’s a hard mattress. The Allswell mattress is a very good mattress, but it is a little too soft for my taste. the Amazon basic is a little bit firmer but still soft. Additionally the Allswell mattress was twice as much If I had to rank order my mattresses of the ones that I bought they would be: 1. Amazon basic 2. Allswell (too soft) 3. This king sized matresss perfectly fits onto our boxless bedframe. It took exactly three days to expand where most of the indentations from being compressed disappeared and best of all there are no springs since this is a memory foam mattress. It is able to hold up two full grown adults and is more on the firmer side. Great for those who are big and tall, but you'll need to break it in by sleeping more in it. If you want to make it less firm, a topper will help indefinitely. Overall, for the price you pay is well worth it compared to what else is available on the market. It has good support and doesn't sleep too hot either. Definitely recommend this if you are not wanting to pay for a premium mattress!
I ended up putting a thin memory foam on top but that is just me, I wanted it softer but after 3 weeks it has worked well for me

My stats: 6'1" 200lbs pinched spinal column, sciatic nerve impingement, poor sleeper, hot sleeper Absolutely LOVE this matress. When it arrived it was well packaged. Upon opening I had doubts it would expand fully. Took it to an open room and cut open vacuum sealed bag. Bed started expanding rapidly. A few hours later and it looked completely expanded but I followed the directions and waited. 72 hours later it was ready. I pressed on the top of the bed and I was worried, it felt stiff almost hard. I then laid on it and my worries went away as it formed around me beautifully. It is firm but very comfortable. The initial smell of plastic was almost completely gone. The first night I we slept on it I did not wake once during the night and awoke feeling really good. I have a bad back and since sleeping on this mattress I have noticed that I awaken with less back pain and stiffness. I am sleeping a lot better also. The gel top on this mattress is amazing as it keeps a nice cool layer even if you stay in the same spot for a long time. When summer comes I see this being a HUGE plus.
