Novilla Queen Size Gel Memory Foam Mattress: A Cozy Review for Even Better Nights

Novilla Queen Size Mattress, 12 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress for Cool Night & Pressure Relief, Medium Plush Feel with Motion Isolating, Bliss

When it comes to selecting a mattress, comfort, longevity, and affordability are paramount. Enter the Novilla Queen Size Mattress, a 12-inch gel memory foam delight crafted to ensure restful nights and rejuvenated mornings. This medium-plush option promises cool nights and impressively eases pressure points. Thanks to its innovative design and quality materials, this mattress has become a sleeper's dream. But like any product, it has its pros and cons which we will delve into below—gleaned from real customer reviews.

Pros and Cons

1. Quality and Construction

The Novilla mattress boasts a four-layer all-foam system with a gel-infused top layer, designed to regulate temperature and increase airflow. The egg crate design further enhances breathability. Customers widely note the brilliant balance between softness and support, although some report the mattress arrived slightly under full depth at first—making patience an essential virtue.

People loved how the mattress provides adequate support—comparable to more premium options like Sleep Number Beds. Several reviewers highlighted that the Novilla's medium firmness aligns with a 65-70 Sleep Number setting, making it ideal for back pain relief and longevity without breaking the bank.

Cons: While shoppers appreciated the firmness in general, a few remarked on the occasional dissatisfaction of corner expansion. After the recommended 72-hour window, a few mattresses didn’t fully inflate to the expected height. This seems to vary from case to case but certainly warrants attention for those who are ultra-precise.

2. Usability and Set-Up

Ease of set-up is a significant selling point among users who welcome the convenience of having a queen mattress arrive compressed in a box. The instructions are understandably straightforward, making it simple to unbox and ready your sleep space in minimal time. Customers readily commented on how their mattresses were mostly expanded within hours, even if full formation took a tad longer in colder spaces.

Pros: The quick and painless set-up offers bonus points for people with limited time or assistance, although heavy lifting might be necessary.

Some users were pleased enough to use the mattress the same night it arrived without any issues, benefiting from the immediate switch from in-box to a sleep-ready configuration, contrasting sharply with their older mattresses. The provided slicer tool ensures safety without damaging foam when cutting the plastic wrap.

3. Cooling Features

Addressing sleep temperature has become a non-negotiable aspect of choosing a mattress; Novilla incorporates gel-infused memory foam layered on top. According to reviews, the mattress successfully prolongs the freshness of the night for many users.

Cons: However, despite the cooling intentions, a few hot sleepers felt the mattress only marginally improved their night-time temperature regulation compared to traditional counterparts.

4. Price and Value

Priced around $300, the Novilla mattress represents substantial savings against name-brand competitors, providing its users with a real bang for their buck. Many reviewers praised this affordability combined with comfort, promoting it as an excellent investment for guest rooms, part-time accommodations, or simply for budget-conscious bedroom upgrades.

Cons: Durability over the long term remains slightly debated, mainly due to limited long-usage data.

Comments from Amazon:

To be clear, this mattress was intended to replace a junk, coil spring mattress in my part time residence, where I wanted to maximize my comfort (and reduce pain) at a price point that made sense

To say that the bar was set very low for this mattress to exceed the one it was replacing is an understatement; however, it also had to live up a comparison to the comfort and quality of my full time mattress which is a sleep number. To be clear, this mattress was intended to replace a junk, coil spring mattress in my part time residence, where I wanted to maximize my comfort (and reduce pain) at a price point that made sense. Coming in at just around $300, I figured I had little to lose and, at worst, it would have to be a step above the old mattress. Imagine my utterly pleasant surprise to come and find out that this little gem not only met that low bar, but overwhelmingly exceeded it. I've had this mattress for a little over a month and have slept on it probably near three weeks out of that month. In that time what I have found is that this mattress is extremely comfortable, super easy to set up and provides just the right amount of support where I need it most. In fact, I would say that it almost.....almost provides the same comfort level and support factor as my sleep number mattress. Almost, but not quite. Pros: 1. Extremely convenient packaging and set up: A queen size mattress in a box, delivered to my doorstep. How easy is that? The box itself is hefty so you likely will need a helper to get the whole deal into position and especially when it comes time to cut the packaging and have it ready to go "inflation". Instructions provided and easy to follow. Once we properly positioned the wrapped mattress on the box spring it took a simple slice of the plastic (using the slicer provided to us in the box) and voila! new mattress. The directions tell you to allow the mattress to shape for at least 72 hours, but I was extremely hopeful that I would be able to us it that night as one more night on the old mattress was absolutely out of the question. Some people have noted that their mattresses didn't form properly or didn't reach the intended height (some even after the 72 hours) but I found that my mattress was fully formed and at the right height in no more than 12 hours. I made the choice to use it that night 2 Comfort: I've found over the years that I need a firmer mattress to alleviate much of my lower pack pain and stiffness that I've found in using mattresses of lesser quality. The one advantage of a sleep number bed is that you have 100s of different combinations available to you to find just the right amount of firmness or softness to achieve maximum comfort, and over the past year or so that I've owned it, I've found that I fall neatly within the medium firmness category (for those familiar with sleep number, I'm about a 55 to 60 setting) so having this mattresses advertised as falling into the medium to firm category was really important - and I was counting on that description being accurate. And I can tell you that , at least in my experience - it is. In fact, if I had to assign a sleep number to this mattress for comparison, my guess is that it would fall in the 65-70 range. I say this because while extremely comfortable, it does seem to be just a bit firmer than my current sleep number setting. Not enough that it creates any moderate discomfort, but just enough that I can feel the pressure. For reference - I am in the range of 180-190lbs - I can't speak to how well that level of firmness holds for someone in a different weight bracket, but my best guess is that it will hold relatively stable for most people. 3 Sturdy - I can't speak to how other foam mattresses are in this category, but when sleeping with someone else, I don't feel them moving or turning/tossing. 4 Price - Sure, you can invest in other, more expensive mattresses, foam or otherwise, for your needs, but out of the box, at this price point, you get a lot of mattress with very little downside. That being said, I cannot speak to how well it will hold up over the long term, or whether it will still be the same mattress in 1 year or even 3, but at this price point, I would be satisfied with with a handful of good quality years. Cons - Really very few to mention, but: 1 Edge support - I believe this is an issue with every foam mattress, but the edge support is absolutely not on par with a traditional mattress. That being said, it does not affect my use of the mattress one bit, but for those that need the extra support to get out of bed, or, for those that want to utilize some edge support for "extracurricular" activities - you'll find that you'll have to adjust for the lack of edge support and plan accordingly. 2 Cooling - foam mattresses in general are notorious for running warm and while this mattress attempts to compensate for it by using a cooling layer, I believe that warm sleepers are still going to find themselves sleeping warm. I generally don't tend to be a warm sleeper, so it hasn't been an issue for me, but it also certainly doesn't offer any more cooling features than any other mattress available. All in all, I rate this mattress very highly and certainly would recommend purchasing it assuming its specifications meet your needs. It's a high quality, comfortable mattress at a very affordable price point.

This mattress has genuinely changed my sleep game

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with my new Novilla Twin Mattress! I was a bit skeptical about buying a mattress online, but I'm so glad I took the plunge. This mattress has genuinely changed my sleep game. The 10-inch gel memory foam is pure bliss - it's like sleeping on a cloud! The medium plush firmness is perfect for me; its supportive without being too hard, and it cradles my body in all the right places. I no longer wake up with aches and pains, and I feel refreshed and rejuvenated every morning. The cooling feature is also a total game changer. I tend to sleep hot, but this mattress regulates my body temperature beautifully, keeping me cool and comfortable throughout the night. Overall, im thoroughly impressed with this mattress. The quality is exceptional, and the price is unbeatable.

So far I have had the mattress for about three weeks and my sleep has been great

Great price, quality mattress. So far I have had the mattress for about three weeks and my sleep has been great. The mattress is slightly firm but with enough give so you still sink into a comfortable position while sleeping. The quality of the mattress feels really good as well, it seems like it will hold up for a long time so I’m happy making the investment without breaking the budget!

Easy to unpack

The mattress was shipped fast, box was not beat up. Easy to unpack. Took a bit to come to full depth as is to be expected.but was 80% of the way expanded after 20 minutes. It sits somewhere perfectly between firm and soft.semi firm but with just the right amount of cushy feeling to cradle.had no need for the 3 Inch memory foam topper I had on my previous memory foam bed. Only reason for 4 stars is a couple of the corners never expanded to the full depth..it's ever so slight.you don't notice it while sleeping.just a note of mention for the ultra picky consumer. The overall depth is about 1/2 -3/4 inches less than the listed total depth.but I find that's the case with every expandable mattress I've ever owned or seen. Most importantly is a goods nights sleep.which I've experienced I would recommend and buy again if needed.

It was easy to set up, and the mattress expanded quickly with no odor

I recently purchased a Novilla mattress, and I couldn’t be happier! From the moment it arrived, the experience was fantastic. It was easy to set up, and the mattress expanded quickly with no odor. The comfort level is beyond my expectations – the perfect balance of soft and supportive. I used to wake up with back pain, but since sleeping on my Novilla mattress, I feel well-rested and pain-free. It contours to my body while still providing firm support. Plus, the cooling gel memory foam keeps me comfortable all night, even during warmer nights. Novilla has truly delivered an affordable, high-quality mattress that rivals more expensive brands. If you’re looking for a great night’s sleep, I highly recommend Novilla. It’s a game-changer!
