A Comprehensive Review of the Selene 10 Inch Queen Mattress
A comfortable sleep serves as the backbone for a person's well-being and overall health. When looking for a mattress that delivers on both comfort and support, the Selene 10 Inch Queen Mattress is an option that stands out by promising the perfect balance of medium firmness with its hybrid design. With its blend of pocket spring and memory foam technology, this product is crafted to offer pressure relief, motion isolation, and outstanding edge support. But does it truly live up to these claims? Let’s dive into real-world experiences of customers to uncover the genuine pros and cons of this queen-sized marvel.
Pros and Cons
Quality and Comfort
For many, the Selene mattress has provided a dreamlike state of comfort. As one customer noted, "This mattress is so comfortable, it is like sleeping on a cloud, it hugs your body and is so supportive." This sentiment echoes throughout the feedback, where users have expressed experiencing significant relief from back and hip pain, comparing their sleeping experience to floating on a cloud. The mattress's medium firmness, supported by individual pocket springs, lends itself to reducing pressure on joints and maintaining spinal alignment.
On the other hand, perspectives on firmness vary. Some reviewers stated, "I see reviews saying it's too soft or too firm. I was hoping there would be more strength in the edging." It's essential to remember that firmness can be quite subjective. While some find the medium firmness perfect, others feel it could be enhanced, particularly concerning edge support. Despite this, many appreciate the overall comfort and believe it represents exceptional value for the price.
Usability and Convenience
The usability of the Selene 10 Inch Queen Mattress has been highlighted by its portability and convenience. As a mattress that arrives smartly packed in a box, it offers a distinct advantage for those concerned about logistics or limited space. Customers have praised how effortlessly it is to set up, with one highlighting, "So easy to unpack with the included tool. Plumped up in no time."
However, there is a note to consider regarding weight. While the mattress was described as "a bit on the heavy side," it remains manageable for most users. Despite this, the overall time and cost saved compared to traditional store-bought mattresses make this a favorable purchase decision for many shoppers.
Features and Durability
The mattress prides itself on being made with CertiPUR-US certified foam, ensuring it contains no harmful substances. This certification resonates with the feedback praising its lack of odors and its skin-friendly, anti-pilling cover. One customer remarked, "The mattress came well-packed, quality of materials is very good. It doesn't have any smell."
Regarding durability, there is cautious optimism. With supportive pocket springs and resilient foam, it's tailored to withstand regular use. Statements like, "I will likely buy another for a spare bedroom," suggest the initial experiences with durability are positive, though naturally, more extended use will affirm longevity claims.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Selene 10 Inch Queen Mattress delivers an exceptional blend of comfort and support. While some find its firmness level varies on the spectrum, for most, it strikes the perfect chord of medium firmness, combined with excellent motion isolation and pressure relief. Its convenience as a 'mattress in a box' makes initial setup straightforward, and the odor-free experience reassures buyers of its high quality.
Based on the collective customer experiences, the Selene mattress stands as a testament to innovation in sleep technology. For those in search of an affordable, durable, and comfortable mattress, which can be a primary bed or a spare, this product positions itself as a wise choice. Just as one enthusiastic user encouraged, "If you are searching through the dozens of options, unsure of what to buy, I'd definitely recommend this one."

Comments from Amazon:
Bought this mattress for my son to replace one which was decades old. Saw this offered at a great price point with lots of positive reviews. So easy to unpack with the included tool. Plumped up in no time. Put it on our box spring and the bed was setup. Saved a ton of money over bricks & mortar mattress locations. Comfort seems to be impressive. Durability we will need to wait and see.
This mattress is so comfortable, it is like sleeping on a cloud, it hugs your body and is so supportive, yet you know there is an underlying firmness that the mattress will last a long time. All my aches and pains, from back pains, hips pains and sleeping limbs are all gone! I don't even want to wake up in the morning, I love this mattress so much!
I bought this mattress on a budget after my old pillow top of 12 years finally got so uncomfortable it was leaving me waking up with rib pain. This mattress immediately felt great. After a week or so of it completely expanding it feels even better. Only real downside is that it could be a bit more firm, especially on the edges, but it's not enough to really impact my thoughts on this product that much. Arrived on time, in good packaging that was easy to open. It's a bit on the heavy side, but manageable.
Exactly as advertised. Affordable, durable, comfortable, and could be used for regular use, guest rooms, out of town trips, or anything in between.
The mattress was wonderful, so soft and comfortable, nice and thick
The mattress came well-packed and the quality of materials is very good. It doesn't have any smell (unlike some other brands "mattresses in a box"). It is quite comfortable! I've spent three or four times as much before, and yet this may be the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. I will likely buy another for a spare bedroom. If you are searching through the dozens of options, unsure of what to buy, I'd definitely recommend this one. It's an excellent mattress at a great price.
We bought this in a queen size for a spare BR. The mattress arrived in a decent amount of time. We installed it and allowed it to breath for 3 days before "testing" it. It is described as "medium firm" but in our opinion it is less than firm and more to the medium firmness. Firmness is relative and subjective, so it is hard to describe and evaluate for others. I see reviews saying it's too soft or too firm. I was hoping there would be more strength in the edging as I sink more than on our regular conventional mattress when I sit on the edge getting in and out. But it's not bad and it's not that one would fall out of the bed. It's a very nice mattress, is comfortable and should hold up especially given the frequency of use it will get. The fit is perfect for our frame with rails, head and foot boards. The construction and stitching are very good. I give it a rating as a very good value for quality, fit, cost and comfort even though less firm than I anticipated.
