The DreamCloud Premier 13" King Mattress Review: Luxury Meets Comfort
Dreaming of a restful night's sleep on a luxurious yet practical investment? Look no further than the DreamCloud Premier 13" King Mattress, a hybrid design that merges the softness of memory foam with the support of innerspring coils. This mattress promises an exquisite eight-layer experience, featuring a breathable cashmere blend cushion top and enhanced pressure relief for a blend of comfort and durability. Certified by CertiPUR-US, it stands free from harmful substances and assures long-lasting quality. So how does it hold up in real-world usage? Let's dive in!
Quality & Comfort
Any mattress purchase hinges on its quality and comfort, and according to customers, the DreamCloud Premier excels in both aspects. One user expressed sheer delight after transitioning from a recliner due to back issues, finding this mattress the first where they could sleep comfortably and wake pain-free. It seems the combination of gel memory foam and dynamic transition foam provides the necessary cradle for the neck, back, shoulders, and hips, aligning perfectly for side sleepers and those with back problems.
Another review praised the balance of firmness and softness, highlighting how the medium-soft composition is ideal for side sleepers while regulating temperature, crucial for hot sleepers. At 6’2 and 175lbs, the reviewer found the mattress accommodating without overheating during the night.
Pros
- Outstanding comfort with balanced firmness and softness.
- Effective temperature regulation.
- Relieves back pain and supports all sleeping positions.
Cons
- Those expecting a pillowy softness might find it firmer than anticipated, suggesting the need for a mattress topper for enhanced softness.
Usability & Features
Usability in a mattress often boils down to not just sleep quality but ease of setup and day-to-day usage. Customers testify to its convenience despite its heavyweight—109 pounds—with unboxing being a task for two. What stands out is the quick delivery and the mattress's ability to expand to its full size within approximately 28 hours after unboxing.
An intriguing usability hack came from a couple with varied sleeping preferences, who arranged two XL twin mattresses together as a king size—yet, they both felt satisfied with firmness levels and mutual disturbance minimization. This hybrid's low motion transfer successfully isolates movements, allowing partners to sleep peacefully without disruption.
Pros
- Easy to set up, with quick expansion.
- Low motion transfer ensures undisturbed sleep for couples.
- Excellent for combining into custom bed arrangements.
Cons
- Weak edge support; sitting on the edge can make it feel less sturdy, leading to sliding off if leaned upon.
Durability & Support
A mattress's durability is a core advantage of an investment such as the DreamCloud Premier. Several users praised its robust construction, mentioning that no sagging occurs, which is significant for heavier individuals, as one reviewer at 250 lbs affirmed. The individually wrapped innerspring coils purportedly reinforce the mattress, adding to its durability over time.
However, a few singled out a persistent issue when the mattress was bought through third-party vendors, highlighting packaging troubles upon return attempts. Another buyer experienced problems with the mattress's perimeter, which failed to expand completely. This led to discomfort when sitting on the edge, necessitating engaging directly with DreamCloud for resolution rather than relying on Amazon's challenges in fulfilling their trial offers.
Pros
- Durable, no sag detected even with significant weight.
- Resilient support through steel innerspring coils.
- Assured longevity backed by a forever warranty from the manufacturer.
Cons
- Edge integrity could be better improved.
- Warranty resolutions may be cumbersome if purchased through third-party sellers.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the DreamCloud Premier 13" King Mattress garners notably positive reviews, particularly excelling in delivering comfort, pain relief, and the support needed for various sleep styles. While minor drawbacks exist, like weaker edge support and the complexity of resolving issues when purchased through third-party channels, the overall customer sentiment leans heavily toward satisfaction, deeming it a high-end choice that assures value. For those prioritizing an integrated sleep experience with minimal compromise, this mattress stands as a dependable choice.

Comments from Amazon:
I am genuinely shocked at the quality of sleep that I am having from this new mattress. I was in a rush to get a mattress and ended up buying this one based off of reviews, which I could not believe I did. Once I got the bed and slept in it I was in complete shock. I still am. I sleep unbelievably well every single night. I prefer a medium or medium soft mattress. This is the perfect firmness with a little softness to it. I am 28y/o 6’2 175lbs, side sleeper. I usually get pretty hot in my sleep, but my temperature has been pretty regulated with this mattress. I can feel the quilt of the mattress below my sheet and mattress cover. It feels great, I love it. I recommend this mattress to everybody I talk to. You will slide right off the edges if you try to sit on the edge. But that doesn’t bother me because I don’t sit on the side of my bed that much. If I had a partner, I would maybe eventually want a king because of the edge support. If I had more money, I would go for the more premium mattress, but I am so happy with my purchase and highly highly recommend this mattress.
Bought this mattress December 9 2024 shipped really fast like 2 days it was at my door. I let it expand for about 28 hours before I layed on it. Did a lot of research before I purchased to be sure it's what I wanted and you should as well. Love the comfort, doesn't sag in the middle at all and my weight is 250 lbs so lot of support for your back or how ever you sleep. It is heavy so will probably take 2 people to remove it from the box it comes in. So on a scale of 1-10 I'll give it a 9.5 for me . But even if it's not for you still keep looking I'm sure you will find something you like. But I found the same mattress here were I live but it was 100.00 more that's why you shop around.
THE QUAILTY IS AMAZING! I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE PILLOW SOFT! IT IS VERY FIRM EVEN WITH A GEL MATTRESS TOPPER. SO NOW I HAVE TO INVEST IN A LATEX MATTRESS TOPPER TO MAKE IT PILLOW SOFT. I DO HAVE TO SAY I WAKE PAIN FREE!
I did a lot of research after throwing away money for several pillow toppers not realizing the mattress was the issue. This mattress has been a life changer. Within 3 weeks my backpain is gone. I still can’t believe I finally found a mayress that works. I recommend !
I purchased this queen size mattress for my guest bedroom. It seemed like it was a good purchase, but after unboxing and setting it up, the entire perimeter of the mattress never expanded completely. If you try to sit or lay on the side of the mattress, it collapses and you fall off the bed. The mattress was listed on Amazon as having a 365 night trial, like all Dream Cloud mattresses do. When I contacted Amazon, they told me that it was too late to return the mattress, and that they did not do exchanges. After going through the fine print of my purchase, they agreed that they could issue a refund as long as I packaged the mattress and sent it back within 10 days. Obviously, you can’t package a mattress that weighs over 100 pounds. When I inquired about the 365 night trial, and getting a replacement, I was told that I had to contact Dream Cloud directly. Since Dream Cloud customer service was listed as an option for assistance with returns on my Amazon order, I reached out to them. Dream Cloud informed me that they have nothing to do with the purchases made through Amazon and that I would have to contact Amazon for any returns. When I asked about the 365 night trial, the Dream Cloud customer service representative told me that yes, they do honor that trial, but no, they couldn’t because I bought the mattress through Amazon. Huh?! I’m going to attempt to ship this mattress back to Amazon for a refund. Hopefully, a courier will pick it up as-is. I wasn't looking for a refund. I just wanted a replacement. I will definitely not be ordering any mattresses on Amazon in the future. All major purchases will have to be made directly through the manufacturer, so that nobody can play the blame game if/when something goes wrong.
I read the reviews before purchasing, reading the pros and cons of buying this type of mattress. I went to a local mattress store and tried out their "hybrid" mattresses, not telling them I was sizing it up for an online purchase. This was significantly cheaper than buying from the stores in town. I read one gentleman's review that gave me the confidence to give it a try. He raved about how great the mattress was and would return to give updates along the way to inform whether it was only a quality mattress in the beginning and if it depreciates along the way type entries. I am happy to say, "that guy was spot on" - it's a great mattress. Yes it is a little different than regular mattresses - if you are trending to always sit on the very edge of the mattress (not fully with your knee and butt area all on the bed) you will feel what you think is a weakness and it's not firm (I assume this is normal, as the local store hybrid mattress was the same way...). You have to literally sit fully in the bed with your knees right up the mattress before sitting down to avoid this. Once you are in the bed it's amazing - it is not weak by any means, it is extremely comfortable. I have a bad back - birth defect - have had to sleep in a recliner for the last few years. This is the FIRST mattress that I can actually sleep on and still walk the next morning - I have thanked God nightly upon lying down because of the relief and comfort this mattress offers me. I primarily sleep on my side with some back positioning at times. My husband sleeps on his side/back/stomach and he likes the mattress also. We could not sleep in the same bed because of our varied preferences and needs in a mattress. We got the wild idea to buy 2 xl twin mattresses and put them together to build the king bed. It's PERFECT, we don't wake one another up moving around, can get in/out of the bed without disturbing the other one etc. My need for a firm/softer mattress and his need for a firmer/not as soft as my preference mattress was met in this one mattress selection -it's literally the BEST mattress we have ever slept on. HIGHLY recommend this particular mattress. ***I bought 3 xl twin mattresses - one for me/husband for the king bed and one for my elderly 85 yr old mother who said her back was hurting with the old mattress. We are all three very happy with our selection of this hybrid mattress that arrived in a box haha That alone scared me - arriving in a box? Who would have thought it would turn out to be such a godsend for us all? **NOTE: I was prepared to buy whatever mattress type I needed and whatever my husband needed - which is partially why we went to the mattress shop to test out all of the mattress types in person. I anticipated us to have different mattresses due to our history of hating the other one's preferences for a mattress...amazingly we both ended up liking the same mattress in the store over all other high-end mattresses (the hybrid won us both). I would have to say - this is a HIGH-END mattress as it definitely met the criteria of consumer satisfaction - which should be the ruling element in determining what is "high-end" and what is not.
